A delicious, refreshing mix of strawberries, rum, lime juice and simple syrup make Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri the perfect thirst quencher during the summer. Mix up a batch for girls night, afternoons at the pool or lake, or just because you’re craving a boozy refreshing drink.

For me, it’s not really summer until I have an icy cold drink in hand and there is none better than a frozen strawberry daiquiri! It’s one of my favorite frozen cocktails to sip on when it’s hot out. A frozen strawberry daiquiri by the poolside feels like a vacation without even leaving the house!
This slushy drink is perfect for parties or happy hour with friends. Add some chips, salsa, and guacamole to make it complete. The bright strawberry flavor and inviting slushy texture make this the best strawberry daiquiri recipe. You’re going to love how quickly it comes together! Once you see how easy this drink is to make, you’ll want to keep the ingredients on hand all summer long.
Why You’ll Love this Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri
- This is a frozen daiquiri that is so refreshing! It’s made from scratch with frozen strawberries, so it’s slushy and cold.
- The simple syrup blends into the icy cocktail, leaving without any grainy sugar at the bottom of the glass. Just smooth and tasty.
- You can easily adjust the ingredients to your tastes – make it tarter, sweeter, or adjust the rum for your perfect amount of alcohol.
Ingredients for Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri Recipe
- Strawberries – You can use frozen whole strawberries or sliced ones. If you use fresh strawberries then be sure to remove the stems.
- Simple syrup – This is a combination of water and sugar. You can buy it or make your own simple syrup. It’s easy to do!
- Lime juice – Use fresh lime juice for this recipe. If you don’t have limes on hand, you can use lemon juice instead.
- White rum – This is the best rum to use for strawberry daiquiri cocktail recipe. Use your favorite brand!
How to Make a Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri
Place the four simple ingredients in the blender and secure the lid. Then pulse several times, or until the ingredients are well combined and slushy.
Give the daiquiri a taste. If it’s too tart add a little more simple syrup. If it’s too sweet add more lime juice.
Pour into glasses and serve!
How to Store Frozen Daiquiris
Yes, you can absolutely store your leftovers or make these ahead of time and store for later. It’s a great way to save on some prep time for parties! Just make the recipe as directed and then pour into an ice tray, popsicle molds, or glass mason jars. If you use glass, leave room for the daiquiri to expand while it freezes.
Before serving, pull your frozen cocktail out of the freezer for about 10 minutes. Then stir with a spoon or straw and serve!
What kind of rum is best in a strawberry daiquiri?
White rum is best, but you can also use a light golden rum if you prefer. Feel free to change things up a bit and use a flavored rum instead. Coconut flavored rum would make this a delicious tropical beverage.
Garnish for Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri
Feeling fancy? Garnish your drinks with lime wheels, or perch a fresh strawberry on the side of the glass. You can even make a lime twist from the peel, or garnish with fresh herbs like mint or basil.
How to Thicken a Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri
We like our frozen daiquiris to have a smoother texture, but if you want a thicker (aka slushier) drink just add more ice. Be sure to add only a little at a time until the drink reaches your desired thickness. You don’t want you homemade strawberry daiquiri to get watered down!
What to Serve with a Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri
Serve some ranch pretzels, pico de gallo with chips, or some homemade ranch dip with veggies! It’s also a great summer snack with favorite cookout appetizers like white queso and spinach artichoke dip.
Barbacoa tacos and shrimp enchiladas would pair well with strawberry daiquiris too. Or a big ol’ rodeo burger!
Pro Tips for the Best Frozen Daiquiri
- Strawberry is amazing but you can use other frozen berries, peaches, or even frozen bananas. Feel free to experiment!
- You can just leave the rum out of the drink or try my virgin strawberry margarita that is similar.
- Feel free to adjust the amount of rum in the drink! For this recipe, there is just over one ounce of rum per drink. You can adjust it up or down depending on your tastes.
Have you already scheduled your next happy hour or girls’ night so you can make a batch of these daiquiris? Just so you know, you don’t need an excuse to make them – treat yourself this week!
More Fruity Cocktails!
- If you like vodka, you need to try a classic Seabreeze! This is a great drink for parties, or you can mix up just a couple at a time to enjoy.
- Peach Sangria is so refreshing – it’s made with rosé, peach liqueur, fresh white peaches, and berries.
- One sip of a Mai Tai, and you’ll feel like you’re on a sandy beach! It’s a classic summer cocktail.
- Strawberry Lemonade Margaritas combine two refreshing drinks in one boozy cocktail. Make it by the pitcher for all of your summer parties.
