How to Make Cinnamon Butter
Beat the butter in a large bowl until it’s light and fluffy.
Then add the rest of the ingredients and beat them together with the butter until smooth and creamy.
That’s truly all you have to do! Serve your homemade cinnamon butter right away or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
How to Use cinnamon butter
There are so many different ways to use the creamy creation. Here’s a few tasty ideas:
- Make a batch of homemade Texas Roadhouse rolls and slather the cinnamon butter on them! Or it’s delicious with classic dinner rolls, too.
- Breakfast can be extra tasty when you spread this butter on a batch of warm and fluffy pancakes.
- A warm slice of banana bread with some of this sweet butter is a delicious snack!
- Or, serve it with some classic english scones for a special brunch treat!
- These homemade biscuits would be yummy with cinnamon honey butter too.
How long does homemade cinnamon butter last?
FRIDGE: This homemade cinnamon butter will keep in the refrigerator for up to a month! Just transfer to an airtight container!
FREEZER: Alternatively, you can actually freeze cinnamon butter too. Transfer to a freezer safe container or bag and freeze for up to 6 months.
Do you have to refrigerate cinnamon butter?
To keep this cinnamon butter easily spreadable, leave it out at room temperature in an airtight container. If you’re planning to eat it within a day or two it will be fine at room temperature. After that, I would keep it in the fridge.
Can you use granulated sugar instead of powdered sugar?
You can but it might be a little grainy. I like powdered sugar because it isn’t grainy and melts into the butter to create a texture that is really creamy and smooth.
How long does it take to soften butter?
For this recipe, it’s a lot easier to beat the butter when it’s room temperature. Leave it out for at least 30 minutes so it’s soft enough to cream.
Pro Tips for the Best Cinnamon Butter
- Feel free to use maple syrup in place of honey if that’s what you have on hand!
- Did you forget to soften the butter? Add boiling water to a drinking glass, pour out the water and then place the glass over the butter.
- If you don’t have an electric mixer, you can use a fork to break down the butter and then a whisk or silicone spatula to mix all of the other ingredients in.
Whatever you decided to pair with this copycat cinnamon butter I know you’re going to love it. It’s so simple to make you won’t want plain butter on your rolls anymore. Enjoy!

Thanks for this recipe to go with the Texas Roadhouse yeast rolls I just made. I halved all the ingredients except the butter. I started out only making half a batch but decided that wasn’t enough and added another stick of butter. I liked the flavor better with only half the cinnamon.
